Bodmin Road Health Centre

About our PPG

The Patient Participation Group is an important part of our health Centre. It is a group of patinets representative of the patient population here at Bodmin Road, who we work closely with on matters that concern or affect patient matters such as services, communication or access.

The group is varied in its capabilities and experiences and all bring something different to the collective. They are our ‘critical friend’ and we value their time an input.

Meeting on an evening every two months has enabled the group to support us in our recent changes – they have been particularly vocal and testing of our new website configuration, the changes we have applied to our access to services and the telephone system. Additionally, they have raised, with us, funds for local charities and have supported our new ways of communication such as the advance of our PODCAST and social media plans. Throughout all of this they have given due regard to all patients and how changed impact each and everyone of us and we value that of them.

They are also currently involved in a significant cancer related project, across the Trafford footprint, that will bring, we hope, much improved access into cancer services – their efforts reach beyond the practice, into our local communities and well done for that!
